Some Other Things You Need to Know...
The Grand Paw General Pet Acceptance Criteria
All pets must be in generally good health. Dog owners must provide written proof that their pets have current Rabies, DHPP, Canine Influenza and Bordatella vaccinations. For cats, The Grand Paw requires written proof of rabies, FVRCP and FELV vaccination. The Grand Paw does not accept aggressive dogs or cats, wolf-hybrids, dogs who have participated in Schutzhund or similarly trained bite work, or female dogs or cats in season.
The Grand Paw Social Play Criteria
To participate in our social play groups, whether for boarding or day camp, all dogs must meet The Grand Paw’s acceptance criteria above as well as pass a temperament test to ensure their suitability for play with a group of friendly dogs. All dogs over one year of age must also be neutered or spayed to participate in social play groups.
Experience
The Grand Paw Lobby may be closed for pick-ups and drop-offs on major holidays.
Tour & Temperament Test Hours
The Grand Paw offers Tours and Temperament Tests Monday through Saturday, 9:00 – 11:00 and 2:00 – 4:00 by appointment only. Please make sure that you come in when you are not in a hurry. If you bring your pet for a tour, or would like us to perform a temperament test, please make sure to bring along a copy of your pet’s vaccination record (Canine Influenza, Bordetella, DHPP, and Rabies).

In 2003, William and Jennifer Hamilton embarked on a journey to create a one-of-a-kind pet experience they believed their own dogs would absolutely love. Combining their extensive experience in business with their lifelong love of animals, they were able to create an award-winning pet resort as well as make the Coachella Valley their forever home. Over the past 20 years, William and Jennifer have been involved in every aspect of creating and operating their world-class facility. With the goal of delighting their customers and a total commitment to pet health and safety, they love seeing their four- legged friends scratching on the front door waiting to come in!
